¿Alguna vez has escuchado la pregunta Where are you from?, bien porque te la hayan hecho a ti o a otra persona? ¿Sabías que esa pregunta va dirigida a saber tu nacionalidad, o para especificar de qué lugar provienes exactamente? ¿Entendiste? ¿Supiste qué había que responder? Pues tenías dos alternativas:
Respuesta completa: I'm from Colombia. We're from Namibia.
Respuesta corta: Gambia. Cienfuegos. Lisa.
•Where are you from? I am from Cuba.
•What nationality are you? I am Cuban.
•Where do you come from? I come from Fiji, a small nation in the Pacific.
B: London.
A: Oh, really, where exactly?
B: Lambeth.
A: Hello! What's your name?
B: Briana Reyes.
A: Is it with B or V?
B: With B.
A: And, how do you spell your last name? (¿Cómo se escribe su apellido?)
B: R - E - Y - E - S.
A: Thank you. Where are you from, Mrs. Reyes?.( ¿De dónde eres?)
B: I am from Cuba. (Soy de Cuba.)
A: Then, you are Cuban. Do you speak English? (Entonces Ud. es cubana. ¿Usted habla inglés?)
B: Yes, I do. I speak Spanish and English. (Sí, hablo español e inglés.)
A: Could you please wait a minute? (¿Un momento, por favor?)
B: Oh, yes, of course.
